Being in the construction industry, it is part of our job to bring awareness to customers and partners about how the industry is evolving. At Miron, we have placed a focus on virtual construction as one area of development because of the many advantages we see in utilizing this type of technology. What an exciting time to experience the changes that have occurred over the past few years. In general I’ve seen technology turn over about every eight-to-twelve months, rendering new tools, techniques and general software improvements.
There are many resources you can follow that share specific information on the changes taking place in the world of virtual construction. Since the beginning of the Changing the Color Paradigm blog, I’ve been impressed with the quality of information Peter Lawrence has continually delivered to the AEC (architecture, engineering and construction) industry – for FREE!! I make a point to regularly check in on his blog, along with Scott Sheppard’s, It’s Alive in the Lab. These two industry professionals do a great job at moderating and sharing relevant industry information.
