Dean Basten, Secretary/Treasurer & CFO, Miron Construction Co., Inc.

Dean J. Basten is responsible for overseeing all accounting functions, including policies and procedures. His main focus is strategic planning and budgeting; he is also responsible for cash management, financial reporting and tax planning for the company.

In a related role, Basten oversees human resources, including the development and administration of personnel policies and serves as corporate Equal Employment Opportunity Officer.

Basten is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Managerial Accounting with a minor in Finance. He is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant by the State of Wisconsin.

Outside of his position with Miron, Basten supports the United Way, Appleton East Youth Basketball, the YMCA, and Junior Achievement. He is Vice President of the Construction Financial Management Association of the Fox Valley and is a member of the Construction Financial Management Association, the Associated General Contractors of Wisconsin, the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
