Theresa Lehman, Director of Sustainable Services, Miron Construction Co., Inc.

Dedicating her entire career to sustainable practice, Lehman has worked on more than 60 projects seeking LEED® certification utilizing the LEED-NC, LEED-CI, LEED-CS, LEED-EBOM, and LEED for Schools green building rating systems. Projects that she has worked on have earned LEED certification at all four award levels including: Certified, Silver, Gold and Platinum. Her portfolio of LEED projects includes many “Wisconsin firsts” such as the first State of Wisconsin LEED certified project, the first LEED certified healthcare facility, the first LEED-EB certified schools, the first LEED for schools K-12 project and the first zero-net energy / carbon neutral project.

Lehman is Wisconsin’s only USGBC LEED Faculty member, and instructs various USGBC workshops throughout the world. She is actively involved as a volunteer at national, state and local levels. As a GLOBE Alliance partner, Theresa has attended the World Climate Summit and COP16, volunteers as a Congressional Advocate for USGBC and Environmental Defense Fund, has served on USGBC’s Curriculum Committee, developed LEED workshops, was identified as a Subject Matter Expert, thereby selected to be on the development team of the LEED AP exam, is currently volunteering as a Education Review Body, and has presented at USGBC’s International Greenbuild conferences. At a state level, Theresa is a member of Wisconsin Green Building Alliance (WBGA)’s Green Schools Advocacy Committee and locally co-chairs New North’s Sustainability Energy & Built Environment Subcommittee, serves on the Town of Menasha’s Sustainability Committee, serves as an advisor to integrate sustainability into the curriculum of UW Stout’s Construction Management program and Fox Valley Technical College’s Construction Management program, and co-leads Clayton Elementary School’s student EPACT team.
